wrap T shoulder detail
The shoulders on the shirt are quite magnificent. The sleeves are ruched (my first time on a machine!) and the rest is folded over for a nice pleat on top.
Wrap T alternate way to wear
Here's how I would wear the wrap shirt. It makes it a bit less dressy with an addition of color and the wide neck needs less fixin' this way. No worrying about exposure.I can't decide whether the sash should be worn on the hips or waist...quelle dillema.
Catholic School Survivor
Here's the back of the wrap shirt, which doesn't really show how wide the neckline is but it's wide. very. wide.
Wrap Tshirt
This is one way to wear this wrap shirt. It was made with Willa in mind, as the back says "Catholic School Survivor." My vati was a bit jealous that I didn't give my St. Vinnies shopping success to him, but alas. Fashion over family, I always say. Ha. To be worn this way, the neck will need to be somehow taken in in the back and some sort of fashionable fastener would need to happen in the front, v. difficult.
Shins tube/halter top
This top was simple but it was tough to part with the original form of my beloved Shins Tshirt. I got it at the Shins concert at first ave. and was wearing it when i met the keyboard guy who was very much not all there at the time. The shirt has had it's arms and neckhole cut off and has been flipped upside down. I knew it would be quite short so i cut it in a baseball t style at the bottom but am not sure how to finish the edge yet. The string can be tied in a bow or in a hatler top style.
Bracelet
I love this bracelet. It was time consuming, and it was my first attempt, But it goes with anything, I promise.
Belt Pocket
Here's a view of the pocket but it's not very easy to see that the things attached to the strings coming out of that man's face are his eyes. They are watching your midriff with gusto.
Belt 2
This evolved from a pocket design sketch which i painted onto the pocket and realized I had no idea what to do with the purple pocket...so I sewed it onto a ribbon and lace belt that took a few minutes to make. The lace bits have a habbit of hiding themselves between my legs but the problem has been fixed. Wear it with a skirt!
Pistachio bracelet, Charm necklace(badview)
Katie Moore made me this great pistachio shell bracelet which i Lurve. That's our gang sign.
Me as Heather in Jonathans soccer shirt
Many thanks to Jonathan Dexter and Heather Dexter for making this shirt possible. Please don't tell him his soccer shirt's missing. I'm pretending to be heather with the sunglasses in this picture. I thought it was funny...
83 Cent Shirt
This shirt cost me 83 cents because I talked to the singer of the Melismatics about the music scene in his home town and he sold it to me for whatever I had in my pocket. I think I may have borrowed some money from Willa. It was sleeveless to begin with but I did away with the sleeves and cut straight through the back. I rolled the back fabric all the way up into the neckband and hid safety pins in it to keep it rolled the specific way I wanted. I also added a bow on the side for ...erm....still.
Blood Brothers T 1
I got this shirt at the Blood Brothers show at Gabe's in Iowa City. Cut off the sleeves, put a ribbon through the neck, added ruched cuff sleeves, a band and little ruched half-ovals on the bottom all from an old ill-fitting ben Folds Tshirt. Saved the picture of Ben, though.
legwarmers
I cut the sleeves off of a really bad sweater and added pins because they just needed it. uh it was really hard to take a picture of those things....

mmm neck thingy
er, this was really ridiculously quick and simple. i'm not much for scarves but my neck was frozen so i grabbed a fabric scrap from some costume in les miserables and swooped it around. marked the spots and sewed the button hole and button.
"comfy" brand vest
oh the tuckage. the seventies vest from goodwill was lovely but in desperate need of altering. it was huge with an h sound.
